Get involved
Help out our Club in 2012
Our club relies heavily on volunteers in all aspects of organisation that allows us to put teams on the pitch each week and ultimately allows you, the members to play. We are asking all members to consider putting something back into the club and helping us for the 2012season.
You can help the Club in any of the following ways:
1. Take on a committee position
While many of our 2011 committee will be returning next year, there are some that are leaving and there will be vacant positions to fill. A full list of all committee positions, plus an application form is attached. All this information is also available on our website under the ‘get involved’ icon. If you would like more information on any of these positions and what is involved please contact the president or speak to any of our current committee members.
2. Become a club volunteer
As the club has grown in size over the past few years, the work of the committee has also increased. Last year we asked for ‘club volunteers’ to help ease the work load of all committee members and perhaps encourage more people to join the committee. This initiative did assist us during the season as we had 17 people put their names down to help us out as volunteers. For next year we are looking to expand this even further. Surely with over 700 players we can get more than just 17 volunteers. As a club volunteer, we are asking you to help out with ground control duties, assist with ground set up or just help out in general in emergencies when we are short of helpers. This can involve as little as half a day of your time on either a Saturday or Sunday once a season. Of course if you want to you can do more! Register yourself as a volunteer by filling in the attached form or going to our website. If you have any questions whatsoever about these roles, please contact the president.
