Bangor Football Club Training Academy Programme

Bangor FC is proud to introduce our very own Training Academy Programme. Led by experienced professional coaches, we aim to focus on developing core skills in a friendly, fun and challenging environment to enable our players to be the very best they can be. Our programme will also focus on building character, relationships, leadership and social foundations which will benefit our players in all walks of life. Open to both male and female players from the age of 3+. The programme will complement our existing Club structure and allow our players at all levels, access to additional professional coaching and support. All academy training sessions will be based at our Barden Ridge Facilities (Fields 1&2).

 

Baby Brumbies

For ages U3-U6. Programme to introduce the beautiful game to your child. Learning basic skills in a fun enjoyable environment. More details will follow separately outlining the programme details.

 

Academy Training

Our Academy Training Programme is designed for ages 6-14 and will be tiered into our very own Three Pillars. Our coaching team will grade each player. Based on their performance our players will graduate through the three pillars as they develop.

Foundation Football Squad - This level is aimed at first time players and players with limited playing time, all drills will be working on the basics of the game.

Fundamental Football Squad - This level is aimed at developing the players with more difficult drills at a much higher intensity level.

Football Academy Squad - This level is for players that show the potential to take their game to a consistent high level in the training drills and in a game situation, There will be a pathway for these players to have the opportunity to play at the highest level.

Senior Squad - Open to all players 15+ to continue their development pathway.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will it Kick Off?
To determine the levels of our players, the first session will be a grading session. This session will be on 10th May 2021.

What are the Location details?
Fields 1&2, Barden Ridge Playing Fields, New Illawarra Road, Barden Ridge

Will a kit be provided?
The Academy will provide a complementary training shirt. Each player is required to wear black shorts and socks. In addition players must bring football boots, shin pads and a water bottle to each session.

What happens to my normal midweek training session?
Nothing, the Academy is an additional option available to your child to complement our existing structure. Each Bangor FC team will as normal be provided with a training session and play a competitive game at the weekend.

Do I need to be registered to Bangor FC to participate in the programme?
Yes, this programme is exclusive to registered Bangor FC players only.

How much is it and how can I pay?
The programme is scheduled around the school term and will operate for 10 weeks per term.
The cost will be $120 per term, which is equivalent to $12 per session. For the first term, there will be 7 sessions commencing 10th May 2021, therefore, the amount payable for this first term will be $84. For all terms thereafter will be set at $120.

What if my child is ill, injured or cannot make the session?
Unfortunately due to scheduling restraints and the provision of professional coaching, no refunds will be available for non attendance.

What if the fields are closed due to adverse weather conditions?
A makeup session will be arranged for all sessions cancelled due to wet weather. We will issue the date and timing of all makeup sessions and provide a minimum of 14 days notice period.
